Extremely rare first version Gentleman from approximately 1974. Brushed finish gold plate. Excellent condition with no dents or dings.

Imprint on base of cap is WATERMAN MADE IN FRANCE PLAQUE OR G.

Fabulous 18K Medium number 6 Waterman nib with some flex (see writing example).

Stunning clip which is reminiscent of that on the later Directeur General model.

Filling system is converter or cartridges.

This is the pen that appeared in the Bond film ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ – as the barrel of Scaramanga’s gun! The remaining parts of the gun were a Colibri lighter and Dunhill cigarette case, as shown in the photographs. 

Extremely rare to find.  A pen with a story - and a great writer.
