In 1996 OMAS produced the Jerusalem 3000 Limited Edition Fountain Pen in solid 925 Silver, 18K Gold and Platinum - to mark the 3000th anniversary of the establishment of Jerusalem as a city. At 5.6" long closed, and weighing in at 68.5g without ink (just under half of that weight, 31g, being the cap alone), this is an iconic pen.
This pen is a rare Vermeil Prototype - solid silver (the 925 hallmark being imprinted on the barrel, just below the lip of the cap) plated with 18K gold - and was never offered for sale in this version.
Special limited edition solid gold 18K (Medium) nib.
The original retail price for the solid silver version was $1,500.
A rare find, in mint uninked condition.
